Trolli + Mokuyobi: Weirdly Woven
Creatives:
Matt Cermak – Jade Bayonet – Justin Davis – Anna Fraught – Kaj Kjellesvig
For years we’ve dreamt up new and inventive ways to get Trolli into your mouth. Why? Because we’re dreamers. And what do dreamers dream? More dreams. And our latest dream was to bring Trolli outside your mouth and onto your body by creating a Weirdly Awesome fashion collaboration with Mokuyobi Threads.
Yep. This collab has it all. Crazy clothing, cartoon origin stories, “HuMannequin” models, and strip-tease giveaways.
And as it turned out, getting Trolli on bodies was a great way to get Trolli into mouths, too. So, hey, bonus points there.
(The collection is also available at Urban Outfitters. If you’d rather buy it from there, for some reason.)
Launch Video :30
Our launch video features Mokuyobi Founder, Julie Pinzur, talking about the inspiration behind the collection.
“Sometimes, when two brands love each other very much, They join together for a collaboration consummation — and this bundle of joy is named Weirdly Woven.
Part Trolli, part Mokuyobi — all fashion flavor.“
The following 15-second product spots feature a cartoon-ified version of Mokuyobi founder, Julie Pinzur, and show her strange inspirations for specific items from the Weirdly Woven collection.
“Jon Snow stood at the wall, shivering with his brothers in black. Except for Eric, who looked warm and super cool in his Tahoe Jacket.”
All of these videos ran on Instagram and Snapchat as swipe-to-purchase ads, letting style hungry people whet their fashion tastebuds without even leaving their app. Or their couch.
“Can a human feel romantic love toward a T-Shirt? Take a look, I think you already know the answer.”
Meet our fashion models, The HuMannequins. Part Human. Part Mannequin. Unprotected by U.S. labor laws.
And the best part of all? The Trolliobi Mokurolli Holy Moly Great Disrobi 2017. We brought Weirdly Woven to the epicenter of mash-up fashion, ComplexCon 2017. And gave it away by letting attendees strip our clothing off of real-life mannequins.
